I would suggest either a hot or med hot plug, something like an os a3 or #8. I find that most .18 and smaller engines like a hot plug.

those needle settings sound a little lean to me but as long as its not running hot (water not sizzling on the head) then your probably ok, smoke in the tank after running is normal as is the fuel in the line. Richen (turn counter clockwise) each needle like a 1/4 turn and see if it runs ok.

to evaporate is ok, in like 3-5 seconds, to sizzle quickly and evaporate in 3 seconds or less is too hot.

actually its the opposite, the smaller the .18 and smaller the hotter the plug, .21 and larger use the med med/cold plugs.

You want to use a hot, med/hot plug

the cooler the temps the less power you will get out of it, if you use a cold plug the ignition will be cooler and there wont be as much power as a hotter ignition.

If I'm not mistaken, the MC-59 is too long. It'll stick into your combustion chamber and expose a couple of threads, which leads to hot spots and the carbon that builds up on the threads can strip out the head when you pull out the plug. The SH big blocks, anyway, take the shorter OS plugs.

Best to use a plug that fits.

The only way it would do that is if you didint use the copper washer... and you must use it, i took my head on and it was tight and flush on the under side of the head... so i have no idea what you are talking about... and it was a Mccoy Mc-59 not a turbo pulg (anyways a turbo plug wont fit) and they are no longer than a normal pulg... if it was, the Plug would act like a piston stop... there is so littel head clearence that it would just hit if it was too long...

just to clear it up
