Nothing compared to some back yard tracks on here but it's fun. Still a work in progress. The jumps are a bit steep for now but I know the rain will beat em down over time. They're bigger than they look in the pics.

A few action shots:

Just a couple of pics with a truck sitting on it for comparison. Also am working on a jump. I'm planning to have 3 or 4 jumps around the track.

Default RE: Back yard race tracks.

After a 5 year leave from the rc scene I'm back. got my boys driving now that they are old enough. I went to run at my Local track to find now they charge to run the outdoor track 5 dollars for electric and 10 for nitro. So I'm like I'm not going pay up to 30 dollars plus gas to go drive there track witch is not very good anyway so I said Time for my own track! I built a small 1/18th track before witch was easy but this is a ton of work considering my budget is 0$. First I mowed the outline low. then had to come up with a way to remove my grass. I spent 2 hrs on my sons 90cc four wheeler ripping and watering to remove the grass, that gave me berms[img][/img] too. Its slow going and small but good enough for 1/10th trucks had some guys out this weekend to talk about jump placement and run the track. If you guys have any ideas about jumps let me know. I am making the berms bigger than they are too.

Theres some good looking tracks out there fellas.. It does take a lot of work and time plus some help with your buddy.. but when its all done it is a lot better then traveling to track and paying. My local track is an hour away. My track in backyard, music, beer and more fun.

My track is used for 1/10th Slash 4x4
Lights all around (more being added)
7ft platform with car access ramp
