Default Where to find rc Tool boxes?

Being that i am new to this and i dont have any hobby stores close by, i was wondering if anyone had any links to tool boxes made for rc? I dont want to use a regular old tool boxes. I would like something thats made for rc. ( I am into the trucks and cars if that helps.)

Thanx again

hit up your local walmart or bait and tackle shop.

mines got 3 draws with cases to store small parts, then the main top side i can store big parts batteries, charger tools, and then a small lid which i can store tiny on the go things such as zip ties body clips etc, find one that fits you and your set.

some ar larger and have a handle and on wheels, which i have seen many guys do at the track, and res there car/truck on top and against the pull away handle for easy travail.

I got mine at Academy Sports store. Fishing tackle box. $10 for a smaller cheap one. Works fine for me.

That Lift 'n Lock tool box looks great.

But I admit that I too use a tackle box. Mine is a 20+ year-old Plano with two drawers and a top compartment.

When you buy hobby-specific equipment where other stuff works just as well, you often will get gypped. A prime example is the "hook disgorging tool" for fishermen. $8-10. Or, you could buy a needlenose pliers, which is the same exact thing for half the money.

Toolboxes often cost less than tackle boxes and are more rugged, but usually don't have as many small compartments.

I too use a tacklebox. It works GREAT! Mine wasn't cheap though, I've got an $80 Plano box, but it's huge! I've got a large flip open top compartment that stores chargers, tools, and spare parts. I then have four drawers that store electronics, hardware, parts, etc...

Reading what you guys use, it makes me look like I have tons of parts, when this is really not the case (I dont have a spare aprt for everything on my cars like msot people). [link=http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200382275_200382275]THIS[/link] is what I have. Along with that, which I carry my car on by the top part/handle, I also need a big box for all my tires, and another big box for all mics. parts that dont fit like radio case, fuel, etc. My toolbox is packed to the top on every compartment. Why doesnt everyone bring all their stuff whenever they go to run their cars? My tracks are 2 1/2 hours and 1 hour away, so I bascially need to bring my whole RC room so I can be assured I will never say, " Oh man, I should of brought that!"

Yeah tackle box'es work great.

Plano tackle box for me too. Picked it up at Wal-Mart for like $25-$30. Holds lots of small parts, tools, power starters, a quart of fuel, a battery powerd fuel pump, a field charger and a small 12v gel-cell battery. I don't race so it holds more than enough to go bash with. I put the trucks in a big tupperware container that holds the trucks, controlers, extra fuel and other larger stuff. In the field the big mox acts as a work surface/bench.

I use a plumbers/contractors tool box from Lowes. About $15, I pretty much use it for storage. I need to buy something good to take out when I'm bashing cause I'm using bags from my LHS to hold my tools/plugs/glues.

Tom.

just get a large tool box with one or two compartments and buy little fishing boxes to put inside
its the best of both worlds
