Who you asking?
Shouldnt you be the one telling us what speeds you are getting?
How can we know how fast your car is going.
There are ways to calculate speed based on time along a specified distance.
I dont remember the actual formula at the moment.
Do a search!
Let us know what your speeds are.

IE: teeth on bell housing X spur etc.. X max rpm= top speed?
Any takers?
I'd love to know and can't find it yet.

Go to www.rcxotic.com
On the left navigation bar, click on RC Software.
Download RC Encyclopedia v1.06
It contains a program that when you type in your tire size, your motor RPM, your pinion, and your spur gear, gives you your estimated speed.

get a nice big long straight.
lay two chalk lines at a specific distance. (50ft or so)
gun it and have a friend time you when you hit the lines.
do the math. (dont ask me I havent touched those formulas in 8 years)
let us know

the line to line test doesn't work.
At 100ft if you are off on your timing by one tenth of a second your calculations will be 10mph off. human error is that of 3/10ths or greater plus looking 100ft away.
I tried it and came here to find a better formula
But hey, Thanx

Tape recorder and an ociliscope. Find the Frequency of the engine sound on the tape and multiply by 60 for RPM. Then use the formula for speed. Such as RPM= R Driveline Ratio = D Diameter of tires = T
Formula is
R/D(T*3.14)12=Feet per Minute
Then FPM*0.01136364 = Miles per Hour.
There's the formula.
If you get some un godly number then remember this I just worked through that in my head and I could be wrong but I think it's correct.
