hi my HSP atomic warhead doesnt change gear. I put a new spur gear in the gear box and i put the spring inside the 2 way clutch but it still wont change gear

it maybe be set wrong,  you have to tighten it snug, not crazy tight, then turn counter clockwise 1 full turn and try it, if not do another 1/2 turn and try again,  keep doing it until it shifts.  Just remember that clockwise makes it shift at higher rpm's and counter clockwise makes it shift at lower rpm's.

ok ill try it do u recommend putting lock tite on the gearbox screws

only use loctite on metal to metal screws.

ok how would i prevent the gear box vibrating causing the gear to be stripped

and just to be sure could u send me a pic of what thread hole the spring goes into in the 2 way clutch

Its the adjustment screw, the ball goes in then the spring, then the grub screw

when i took it apart a ball didnt come out

It might have been wedged in there and causing your problems

ok ive seen the ball put the spring and grub screw and must of put it in to tight. Loosening it up now tell u results soon

just loosen it off, you have it too tight!
