RE: Who ran what 10/4/09
Well, I was at a camp volunteering up in Rockaway Township. We left at around 4:00ish in the afternoon and left early Sunday at around 11:15am and shot over to dirt runners and I ran in Rustler Spec and Mod truck off road. Was having some problems with the rustler though. Ended up being the transmitter and it was only going like 3/4 throttle but ya know, didn't fix it until after the main so I ended up coming in last.

I tried to race this weekend....got up on the stand and flat couldnt do squat....buggy was all over the place and kept crashing....ended up breaking a pivot ball on the front suspension after doing a nastyset of cartwheels into a stake..lol.....wasnt the only one to break so didnt feel so bad...sucky thing is it happened 3 minutes into the first heat race..lol....

i raced my 1/16 scale losi late model. it was awesome. the other guys had lipo's and could not stay on the track. i just took my time and stayed on my groove. then 4 minutes into every heat my battery would go dead. gonna have to go lipo i guess. i also have a 1/8 ofna sprint rtr comin this week. i seen 2 guys racing them with the late models and they are sick!!!! i'm gonna put a bunch of himoto stickers on it and pimp it out. hey ed do they have GO .28's?

I have a question. Why is an RXB better than this? My friend wants this: http://www.rcplanet.com/ProductDetai...N34957&click=3.
It has a .28 engine for less.

actually the rxb is cheaper, $299 and the one you posted was $329.
Its not all about engine size, its about suspension, the one you posted has a c hub suspension, the rxb has a pb suspension. The rxb is race ready with the .21, i dont think there is a .28 buggy class. The ofna isnt bad, i have the mxb pro, its a decent buggy but my ofna has the bp suspension also.

sometimes you can race a .28 on a buggy in the stock novice class...but in all honesty a good .21 is all you need...plus you get better fuel mileage with a .21.....if someone just wanted a buggy to bash with the engine size wouldnt matter......I will say this....top end wise my torpedas are faster then my rxb....they have 6 port .28s on them....but you put the buggies in a confined space and my rxb will leave my torpedas in the dust....like Eddie said...its not all about the engine size....

True. Im already set on the rxb im sorry firebird. Im not trying to be an annoying little "you kno what". I have my mind set on the rxb, im going to buy it. I have heard what I wanted to hear. Thanks firebird. Its just my friend David is a hard one. Hes not a racing type. Im aware of the .21 racing rule. He just wants to bash with me. He wants all the power and all the speed. He just doesn't think the .21 is enough. He wanted a Petrol but cant afford. Give me some things I can tell him. I've heard all I needed to. I'm getting an RXB.
He wants a buggy that will go 50-60+ even faster and 1/8 scale. And he just wants insane power.

that ofna wont be hitting 50-60 out of the box, neither will the rxb. I do bet that the rxb will keep up with it though, even though it has a .21 and the ofna has a .28, the .21 is stappier off the line.

Even with a .28 6 port you'd be pushing your luck to hit 50 or 60. And ontop of that the run time on a 28 sucks. The 21 is more than enough power for a buggy trust me I know I added an sh.28 6 port to my rxb and my torpeda has the go .21, I love my rxb more but the torpeda is still crazy fast and I can run longer. If he is set on a 28 maybe he should be looking at the rxt-1 highly recommend that truggy very strong fast and easy to work on.

It made me soooo mad. These people were calling himoto a knockoff. Himoto makes quality rcs. [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8546876/anchors_8558362/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#8558362[/link]

RE: Who ran what 10/4/09
found out last weekend why racing with others at the same time costs more
whats with magnetic force of 2 cars close together I did more damage to my car in 5min of racing than the previous 3 weeks of single turn based fanging

Dont worry, let people talk all the trash they want, I would put my rxb against any 1/8 buggy out there.
