fastest rc?
I'm not trying to go that fast, Was just curious as to what kinda speed they were capable of. 90. That's pretty fast. That'll beat some real cars. Is there a record or somthing. For like 1/10 or 1/8. I'm sure the bigger the car the more speed you can get, because of larger engines. Just wondering

the cars can go as fast as you want. the only thing it takes is money time and more money. you can always go bigger and better but then parts are more and more skill is required.

The AVERAGE for 1/10th scale nitro sedans is 45 to 55mph.
1/10th scale nitro trucks 30 to 45mph.
1/10th scale electric trucks, buggies 20 to 30mph.
1/8th buggies 30 to 50mph.
1/10th, 1/12th scale touring cars and pan cars 20 to 50mph.
-------------------------------------------------
I highly doubt this guy got his car to 90 or even close.
Steve Pond the editor of Radio Control Car Action spent $4,000 and had NUMEROUS custom gears, diffs, belts, etc made for his RS4 Nitro by his connections in the industry and it BARELY got to 103mph. VERIFIED.
With all the speed hops up made for the public the fastest nitro sedans can hit about 70 mph on the best days.
The fastest electric built got to 112mph. It was a one off factory custom car built by Cliff Lett of Associated electronics company.

are you sure that the rs4 3 STOCK hits 60??? i run mine all around and get about 50-55, stock. maybe you are running a bit lean.
a guy at the local track using all parts bought at the lhs got gis to 82. however this was leaning it out all the way and when he richens it it runs at about 75.

the rs4 tends to do that anyway. i had it real lean but gas was still comin out. but i want to play it safe and be able to run my car until i have the $$$$$ to buy the engine i want. so, i have lingering smoke cominout and stains all down the street in a parkin lot and on my driveway where the gas came out.

They never got it this fast in testing and they said that it can't PHYSICALLY do that without gearing changes.
I think you are mistaken.

1. How do you know this?
2. Since HPI says that it can't do that in stock trim and they DESIGNED the car how can you argue?
3. You don't even know how to buy gears or tune your buggy but are claiming to know so much about this car????? Huh?????
reference your posts on this ....

Ok I don't want to start a major fight here or nothing so I will answer these things:
1. I had it speed tested
2. I had a guy at my LHS tune it real fine for me, but it's really lean
3. I've owned my rs4 3 longer than my buggy, I've owned my RS4 3 since november of last year and I've owned my buggy for exactly 3 weeks today.
I don't want you to get on my back anymore, because it's pissing me off. If you don't believe me then deal with it.

Soooo your "guy at the LHS" can tune cars that deny the physics of a car that the MANUFACTURER says cannot do a certain speed. Damn he must be good.
If you own a nitro car then you should know ho wto buy gears for ANY cars. You can't even tune your buggy or buy gears for it without hounding people with questions.
It shows your lack of knowledge in R/C if you need a guy to tune your car for you. And it shows that you know almost nothing when you claim to know about R/C but can't even get gears for your buggy. Hell you didn't even know what pitch they were by looking and almost ANYONE in R/C for more than a few days can do that.

***? I made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. Maybe I can't tune my car but I know how to race. I can tune cars but not to the extent where it is decent. I can tune cars but it is really rough. Now, please stop hassaling me with your disses and insults.
And my guy at my LHS is really good.

that speed thing, you guys are all wrong, i have a nitro fusion, i have spent around 2,000 other than buying the car, ive had full racin ball bearings, gears, belts, and alot of custom made parts, and my car has a new novarossi black magic engine installed.
The car will do around 100-107mph, and i am still working on it. plus i am an expert driver and i own a aluminum shop and i desighn all the aluminum parts. I have never been beat fairly, its always been because my tires strip on the start. also the nova black magic is highly reccomended but is also highly priced!!

you can get away with a fairly cheap motor if you do gearing, for example, the "crap rod".
1/16 aluminum chassis, gone over with a die grinder to thin it down a bit and add some "looks".
it uses the back half of a used BoLINK digger chassis with the axle, hubes, spindels, body and wheels all from the digger. the motor is a very beat on 1997 Green machine motor, with a loose end bell!! and very well used 1997 6cell battery packs. gearing is a 40tooth spur gear and a 22 tooth pinion, give it some room, it gets up to about 40mph!!
when I get some money, I want to get a 10 turn motor, 7 cells, 35 tooth spur (if they make one??) and a 27 tooth pinion, so I can beat up the Nitro guys > in a straight line of course....
