RE: 1/10th ep gearing
I emailed them hoping to get some dimensions, I am pretty sure it wont work for the mega e series but I believe it might work for the older ep stuff.

Yes, If it would work it will allow us to use 48p/64p spur gears. That will allowfor much diffrent gear ratios for on&off road plus easier to find gears.
I am looking through tamiya stuff to try and find some specs on their spur gear holder.

RE: 1/10th ep gearing
keep us updated, I've been searching for 5mm bore pinions, so that i could use the brushless motors with the 5mm shaft, without much luck. I find them in 32p and 48p and even mod 0.8 and mod 1 but not mod 0.6 for some reason.
If this works out it would be a big benefit.

I have attached the tamiya tb03 manual. If you look atpg.4 illustration 2 and pg.5 illustration 3.
Looks pretty similar I believe. I cant be the only one who has attempted this ?

Haven't gotten any helpful answers yet.
This is the only us seller who has it on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/3-RACING-TAMIYA-...item3ef5c711a4
Which spur gear will fit this? most spurs i find has 3 mounting holes not four. and the tb-03 gears are either m0.6 or m0.4 which doesn't help us.

Drill press .
And I believe the 4 holes are for mounting the spurgear, My evader's have 4 mounting holes for spur gears as well.We would need this piece just to be close enough so that we can mesh some 48p or 64p gears.
I dont believe it would be a bolt on deal anyway.

RE: 1/10th ep gearing
Adapter didnt ship untill the 24th . Boughtand paid for on the 15th ?
I cant wait to leave feedback .
But I did something constructive, maybe ?
I counted the gears inside the diff (emxt) and if my math is correct (lol) the old ep stuff should have a internal gear ratio of3.16 .
pinion gear 12t diff gear 38t
Just in case anyone wanted to know.

RE: 1/10th ep gearing
Success.
Direct fit. Well almost. The pin that runs through the shaft will come out if you dont close the ends on the new adapter.
The smallest spur gear I have in 48p is 78. Rubs soI will have to dremel a little. Proably wont be able to use one any larger because it rubs the chassis.
Pictures to follow soon.
Will need to dremel upper support plate also. minor stuff.

RE: 1/10th ep gearing
Here are a few pictures.
Had to remove 2 shims from shaft so motor mount would line up. Try and get some running pictures 2morrow.
Should help onroad guys get proper gearing for t/c racing. Also if you just want to use 48/64 pitch gears.
