Getting ready for the snow 2/9/10
Ok, we are going to get socked here in the north east (NYC) with a nice storm, saying up to 20 inches which is no joke for NYC, no rc'ing for a while, I will post some pictures as it happens,

Iwish you all luck and hope you stay safe and warm.
I'll take 20" of snow any day over the 1/2" of ice we had 2 weeks ago. The entire area looks like a war zone now. Thursday will be 2 weeks since the storm and we still have several townsin the area that don't have power yet. I lost about half of my 2 trees in my back yard.

It's going to be some time before we get totals on damage around town, but I'm easily sure it will be in the millions of dollars worth. Growing up in the midwest I have lived through many ice storms in the last 45 years, and this was easily the worst ice storm I have ever seen.

In oklahoma we got some really bad ice storms last year. Got so bad on the power lines that they was litteraly pulling light poles over, trees coming apart (just like in kens photos), roofs falling through, its was just crazy. My first and hopefully my last.

Still snowing (technically "blizzard"ing according to weather.com) and supposed to taper off around midnight. I'm hoping for no school again tomorrow. Heres a couple more pictures...I tried putting a T4 body in the snow to show how much is piled up on the roof (the pictures don't do justice).
