Traxxas Slash 4x4 PE vs. Ofna Hyper 10SC vs. Jammin SCRT10
Which one is better for 65%bashing/jumping and 35% racing. I have never gone to a track before in my life but I would like to. I want something very durable, speeds capable of 45+mph, long list of hop-ups, parts availabilty, and best value. I already have a traxxas stampede vxl and just built a rustler from scratch so Ithink I'm ready to start building stuff. PLEASEHELP!!!!!!!!!!

I've been looking into a Sc aswell and from what I have learned the Blitz and slash are the best bashers. Blitz being more of a racer but still pretty new so I feel slash die hards can't really tell you if the slash is better for bashing. Personally feel both would be best for bashing and racing and only you can tell us what one you like best.
For the others, mostly for racing. Built for it and should be good for it. Altho in some tracks I see some pretty huge jumps that in 1:1 you wouldn't see most drivers going for it..lol
Out of the ones you listed, for mostly bashing and you having a pete I would have to go with the Slash..

The SCRT10 is likely the most bulletproof of any.

how's the ground clearence since I'm going to jump with it. I've been hearing the scrt10 has a lot of flaws. I heard its having weak body posts, the wheels and tires are no good, flimsey body too!

I haven't owned the others in your list, but I do have a Slash 4x4 and am on my second Slash 2wd. I can say without a doubt they are the most durable vehicles I've owned in my 18 years in the hobby. If you're into bashing and a little racing like me the Slash 4x4 would be a great choice. As I said though I haven't owned the others so I have no idea how they stack up.

for a race truck the others are best, for bashing, I have had great luck with the slash 4x4, i will try to race the slash 4x4 this year myself....if you want ground clearance maybe cut a body out abit and put on 2.8 tires like i do.....i bash the heck outta my slash and love it so much....with a mamba max pro system in it, i was passing 1/8th losi truggys on the track last weekend, but it might have been the drivers....

jammin or ofna hands down, end of discussion, case closed, end of story.
i could take a ofna and smash any other car with it like a hammer and the ofna will sustain no damage, I crashed my ofna buggy two days ago at full speed sideways into a curb, no damage at all, had that been any traxxas product it would have been all over, and im not even kidding.
i would go for the jammin, jammin is just a modified ofna (which is Hong-nor) it is race oriented and tough, and will not let you down, you have my word.

Fantastic car the SCRT10, twice the car that the Slash is. lol at people recommending the slash for anything over the 2 ofna offerings which are both better.
The main issue with teh SCRT10 is indeed the tires, but the problem is very simple, they are a slightly non standard size (fractionally smaller than standard). Change them and you're golden. The body isn't flimsy, but it isn't great either, but you don't judge a car on its body or wheels, both things which you will change in the first month most likely.
My Jammin on 3s for bashing is epic...really, epic. It would also turn its hand to racing in an instant. They are very tough, as are all Jammin products.
How to cut the batt tray for big 3s batts (I use 50x150x28 3s packs)
And a bragging rights shot...
When people at the bash spot start saying nitro is faster, show them that last pic.

Had a slash 4X4, wasn't impressed with it. I found it handled worst than my savage, and rolled over easier [:@]
Spent $40 more and made it a pede 4X4 which I was way happier with.
As for the ofnas yes they are tough they can break but they will take more abuse than the stock traxxas. Only thing traxxas has over the ofna is the insane support by RPM which I find is usually needed.
Own 2 of the CRT.5s (One is set up as a 1/8th scale buggy using SCRT10 parts), and honestly I only managed to break my 2 year old one a few months back when it was 15 degrees out after an extremely bad hit but I only did like $10 in damage
As for bodies as foxy said treat those as disposables (which they are)
