Default MY NEW USED REVO!!!!

Here's some pictures of my revo I got in a trade for my rustler vxl with some other stuff. This is my first revo it's a 2.5r.

MY RUSTLER http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemID=615555

It came with six traxxas talons with wheels, three starting wands or what ever there called, a traxxas 1100mah power pack for the receiver, the charger for the power pack and the stock tq3 radio. Did I get a good deal? I think so.

The revo is a great truck. The shock ends can cause problems on big jumps though. I was launching mine off of a 7 ft ish jump and I broke the shock shaft / end after I landed perfectly. Revos don't like huge air, so I would upgrade the shocks first.

IMO you got a great deal. I got a Rusty in trade and literally ripped out the VXL system in it and put that in my Slash and sold the Rusty roller with a brushed ESC and motor and still came out on top. I'd definitely rather have the Revo over the Rusty. This is just my opinion but I think you came out on top. I LOVE the way the Revo looks over the Rusty too. I think I might pick up a Revo if I can find one for trade.

Nice pickup.

Stupid question but what does imo mean? I'm glad to here that I got a good deal. I'm most likely going to convert it to electric.

Just do it right though. Put a nice ESC and motor in it. I've seen Youtube videos of people putting Brushless systems in their Revo's and those things scream! Get a Mamba Max system, you won't regret it.

Actually revos are some of the best jumpers, if not THE best jumper out there for MT's.

Have you been breaking them on multiple occasion or just once? In our MT class, no one broke one of thoe EVER the entire seasons. Then end up wearing out so they need to be replaced, maybe yous was worn out and needed to be replaced already.

Revo shocks are fine.l recon you got unlucky or had one not perfectly assemble.

Revo's love big jumps, the damn things are birds without wings !

Im sure the revo is great at jumping. I guess I just got really unlucky. It is a completely stock 2.5, got it when they first came out. It was the first time I ever really jumped it.

That's why people shouldn't jump the gun and say revo's have known shock problems. Some people might really believe it and it's hilarious when kids come up tot he shock trying to tell us this stuff lol.

Default RE: MY NEW USED REVO!!!!

I have been thinking about getting a Revo and i am getting reallyseriouse. I have a Rustler VXL, and like it since it is low maintencebut i hate waiting for batteries to charge. I know that you have totune the nitro (i have had one before) but i think it is worth it witha beastly truck like the Revo. I currently have a Rustler VXL and it isalmost brand new. I have only driven it for like 1-2 hours. I haverepaired a front shock tower after i broke it from jumping. Do you guysthink that it would be a good trade for someone? I want a Revo. I justdon't know if it is a good trade with these 2 trucks. Any responses isgreatly appritiaded. Thanks.

Look at the for sale ads and ask people with revo's if they want to trade for your rustler, that's what I did and I LOVE my revo!

Yeah I love my revo, there's lots of people that say that they're weak and I'm guilty of telling people that revo's or pretty much truggy's but now that I have one I have to disagree.

I think the losi lst's are pretty good. Plus rpm makes parts for them.

I have heard that brushless will take over nitro. I want to beleive it because its almost maintience free for brushless and you dont have to tune it. But from another point of veiw, With nitro, there is something about the sound and smell of the nitro's. And i kind of like to "tinker" (work on) with the settings.

Actually I tried nitro again and I LOVE it! The first time I tried nitro was with an old t-maxx .15 That I put an o.s 18 cv-rx in it and I think I got to impatient on break-in and I couldn't get the thing to run for nothing. Plus I didn't now hardly anything about rc's back then, my dad's friend gave me the truck.
