Default Where is the Traxxas factory?

I live in Taipei Taiwan. does anyone have an address for Traxxas? I would love to go knock on the door and peek through the fence. Anyone have any info?

I guess you could look it up, that is what I would have to do if I was interested in finding out where it was located. Off hand, no I do not know where it is.

The owner of my first hobby shop worked at the factory. Sadly I lost track of him when he closed up. He said the rustler I bought used from him was a test mule for the vxl. Cool guy, I miss him. My Chinese is awful though, limited communication with the hobby shops.

How is Taiwan?

Edit: If you find the factory, could you take some pics?

iv highly thought about it.  go to a short course race and slap one on there.  take some pictures.  or for a real challenge see if i could slap one on the traxxas sponsored race trucks over a traxxas sticker on like the nerf bars or something so when the camera cuts to that view there's an AE sticker over a traxxas sticker.  that would be epic!

But I thought Traxxas built the fastest and strongest RC's available?? They never break! You could crash a Revo into a brick wall at full speed and the brick wall would need repair but not the Revo!!!

Well then their slogan would be "Traxxas!!... The fastest and most durable name in radio control!" But they do claim the fastest rtr rc available. You would think they would choose something else over a big rig to carry that name, like a porsche or lambo lol

The 'factory' is in Plano TX, I have driven past it. They do final assembly, and the production of some parts there. The cars are not entirely made over in Taiwan, only the injection molding and some stamped metal parts. The engines are also machined and assembled at the Plano plant, after the blocks and heads are cast somewhere else.

Unfortunately its easier and cheaper to have someone overseas to make parts for us. But then prices get jacked up and we pay out the ass for something that costs half as much to produce.

That's how money is made. The more, the better.

The beauty of free market.
