Just bought a 2.4ghz radio for cheap...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
It looks like the higher end Venom that sells for $100 at Tower but I scored it for $45 shipped. There are a few cosmetic differences but I don't care. I'll report back on whether it performs well but I'm guessing it will. If it is really good I will probably grab a few more recievers and sell my Airtronics. ($90 recievers ugggh!)

The reciever says xy300, but I can't really find a brand. I bet what I bought is a radio packed in with some kind of RTR and the guy is parting out the kits. (Maybe??)
Looks like you can get recievers for $30-$35 (Guessing Venom recievers will also work).
I would save the seller and see if he relists, he had two more but I think they ended as well. He also had some cheaper/simpler ones for $20 plus shipping (like the Hobby King ones).

The guy's selling the same radio Venom buys from the same supplier. You're enjoying the lack of a $55 markup.
That is all
Enjoy your decent deal on a radio (although, not sure how GOOD it is, since have not used it, but for $45 shipped you can't go wrong!)
How much are receivers, Scott? Found them yet?

If ThunderbirdJunkie had issues with his 6 or 7 year old 3PM he'd definitely give these things a shot...it looks like a decent deal on a decent radio.

That should work but the "off brand" version might be found cheaper...

I found the manual.
Oh and I forgot to mention, the Venom version got most for the money in a recent cheap 2.4ghz radio shootout in my one rc mag.

The model of the radio I have is CY3S, I actually picked up another one too. I tested it out and its really nice. Blows my $80 Tactic out of the water and is on par with my $150 Airtronics. I totally recommend them if you can find them!
