Default Safe charging current for lipo's

Hi, needless to say i'm new to lipo's and have a new hyperion 606i charger. It does 1-6cell at 0.1 to 6amp. What is a safe charging current. The batteries in question are thunder power 2Cell, 7.4V, 22C, 8000mah. I have two for my brushless blackjack 26 boat that are ran at the same time. thanks

You should try to stick to a 1C charge. which is the MAH rating divided by one thousand, So 8000 mah would be 8 amps that being said your charger only does 6 amps and that will be fine just means it will take over a hour to charge it.

Charge them @1C.. Example, your pack are 8000 mah, 1C for your packs are 8 amp charge rate.. Since your charger will only do 6 amp that will be fine but will take alittle longer to charge than at 8 amp.. Be sure to balance charge as well..Good Luck!! Have fun!!

I have the same charger and when I set the # of mah it automatically charges it at 1C. So for example for a 5000mah 2S lipo, it'll charge it at 5A.
