Thinking of getting a buggy

Ok so I know this is pretty much and individual preference but what would you suggest for someone wanting to buy a 2wd buggy? What is the most popular one you see at the track? I've been around the hobby for a very long time(first buggy was a grasshopper way back when they first came out) but have not been serious about racing. Thinking it might be a good way to relax. Would like to be in a competitive buggy when I go racing. I know alot of it is going to depend on my driving skills but I would prefer to not be out gunned before the first squeeze of the trigger.

Thanks
Stephen

Personally I'd goto the track you plan to run, and see if they have a 2wd buggy class first. Then see what the others are running, and see what they stock parts for as if you break a part you can get a replacement fast.

if they have a 2wd buggy class and you have a budget, look into the thunder tiger phoenix XB pro. it is brushless, RTR for $200. Best part, it is really a team associated B3, which means it can do well on a track and there are plenty of parts and upgrades available.

If money is no option, the Durango is the popular 2wd buggy option at my local track.
