Recomend 1/10 touring servos
 

OK my next question for anyone you wants to help, I want to upgrade my servos in a Nitro TC3. I want a good set for racing. I'll be using them with a Hitec lynx 3D. Digital is out of buget right now, I was looking at the hobbico servos. How much torque does my throttle/brake need? I'm thinking at want high torque for my steering, the hobbico stering unit I'm looking at is CS-65 92 oz-in of torque at 0.14 sec/60.

Well for 1/10 I would look at speed more than torque. Granted torque is important, anything more than 70 oz should be plenty.
Throttle: anyhting over 45 should be good, again look for somthing with decent speed :)

.14 sounds good but there are better ones available that are below .1 but they are over $50. IT depends on how serious you are I guess. And...
Funny how its all about money isnt it? hehe
The servos prolly all cost about the same to manufactor.. Damn captalistic market! lol

touring cars dont need high tourque. I use a standard servo and it works great. I servor with high speed can cause your car to appear sensitive and may oversteer. This can be adjusted with a computer radio but i really do not like a twitchy touring car. Thats just the way i drive.

True that TCs don't need high torque servos but anything is better than the standard. What you want in TC is the response time.

Take a look at the hitec 625mg, 645mg, futaba 9303. These have good specs and are fairly cheap.

I use multiplex digital servos and seems to work for my need.

The 5925 is digital and has (or should) features like built in failsafe programmable through a device. Higher end radio system claims that they will work better with digital servo.

I used the 645mg a while and the output provided more than enough for onroad TC use. I found that by my using digital servo, the servo response to trigger (steering/throttle) movement is more accurate and responsive.

For throttle, yes they will but you can also use the standard servo for it. The only advantage of getting a higher torque than standard servo for throttle is for braking purpose.

I'e seen it for $105 and seem to have plenty of torque and speed for both throttle and steering.

i use a 49 oz stanard servo for throttle/brake and i can easily lock the tires up. Touring cars dont need high tourqe steering servos or throttle/brake servos.

As for airtronics servos. Yes, they do make good servos. Just make sure that your radio can take the Z format connectors. Take a look at the 94357/58 line up.
