Default Futaba 3PL

Hi all. I just got a Futaba 3PL-2.4G and was wanting to us the 7.4 lipo that has been in my Futaba FM transmitter. Has anyone tried it yet?

The 3PL runs on 4 AA batteries, but I heard that the battery tray is not removable. You might not be able to fit that battery pack in there.

There are two screws that hold the battery tray in place. The wire leads can not be unplugged but there should be enough wire to but an end on. Ive always have used lipo's in all my radios so making something to hold a small battery is no problem. I can't be leave that no one has tried it yet.

That makes sense. Got to do some crawling this weekend but maybe I will try it after that. Sure do miss the expo after using it on my fm radio!

love mine. having only 4 batteries i was worried it might not have the samebattery life/ transmittingdistance as my other ones that take 8 batteries but so far it has worked just as well if not better then a bunch of my other transmitters.
i dont regret buying mine at all and think it was worth the money.

I think it is one of the best budget 2.4 GHz there is out there. Not as plastic as the spektrum dx3. The only thing I dislike of it is the menu. Otherwise it is a great buy!
I have it for boat, car and crawler
