Airtronics capatability ?

I currently own an airtronics mx-3 sport 2.4ghz. I am upgrading to airtronics mt-4. Does anyone know if my mx 3 receiver is capatable w/ the mt 4? I understand the telemetry won't work but will it just control a car?
