DX3 or TQi
Hey guys I'm so lost. Ive ordered a losi 5ive, but it does not come with a TX.
ATM I'm trying to out fit all my cars on the Traxxas TQ link. Mainly because it can control 5 channels.
I'm slowly converting my crawler to use the 4th and 5th for rear steering on/off and steering reverse
my revo to have switchable lights and reverse and maby a bumblebee kill switch
My slash to have switchable lights and roof lights.
So for these cars I need the 5ch, and the DX3 just won't cut it, I did have the idea of just running a DX3R for the 5ive only, but for $270 to only control one car that's expensive... I could scrap my idear for using the extra channels for my other cars, but then I run the risk of my kids dropping a $270 controller...
I really like the idea of telemetry, and think that traxxas one is slightly better because it can use a GPS and rpm.
So I'm thinking about when I get the 5ive removing all the spectrum telemetry and reciver. Selling that and my TQ link to get the TQI.
One would assume that the traxxas telemetry should fit with little hastle on the 5ive...
What do u guys think?
Pros for TQI
Can use one controller for all my cars.
With out a iPhone docked, it can be dropped by little kids with out smashing.
More sensor options
More channels for lights, reverse, dig, horn, etc
Funky iPhone dock, and cool icons for model selection
Pros for DX3R
Not made by Traxxas
DSM
Telemetry screen in a more suited position
Better wheel position and size
Need opinions, what would macgyver doo
