Default Servo and Radio suggestions

Alright, I just got a HPI trophy 3.5 buggy. Working on it's third tank of gas so its brand new. My steering servo was working just fine, but my throttle servo started to get a mind of its own and brake and accelerate when it decided too. My car is supposed to have a "built in" failsafe and it's supposed to switch channels on its own if there is interference but the buggy started driving itself and luckily I was able to steer it my direction and catch it. So, I think I'm just going to get a new radio system, I know nothing about the radio systems so what do you guys suggest. Nothing crazy but I definetly don't want the worst. So....suggestions?

Keep in mind if he reciver battery goes flat the fail safe won't work.

If u are really worried about run aways, killer RC Make a remote switch for the 3rd channel that cuts the fuel.

I'm a fan of the Blue bird servos, nice and cheap too.

What's ur budget? And what are u running? 2.4ghz or 27mhz

Running 2.4 Ghz. Not exactly sure what my budget is going to be yet really just depends on how work goes this next weeks. Batteries are new so they shouldn't be going flat. Besides, I have complete steering of the car wen the throttle servo goes crazy so i definitely don't think it's the batteries

I dident say it was the batteries, was just stating a fact about fail safes.

U shouldn't be getting glitches like that on 2.4ghz

Try swapping the servos around... If ur steering goes crazy then it's the servo...

I just plugged the steering servo into channel two and the throttle servo into channel one (so i switched channels) and the steering servo went crazy. I'm starting to think its my receiver.

Contacted HPI and they're sending me a new reciever. If this one also screws up then I'm buying a new radio system. Thanks for the help.
