Default New Radio, Same Receiver?

Hello everyone! I’m brand new to this awesome hobby, so this is a Rookie question

I have a Wltoys 12428 Rock Racer and my radio just failed. I was wondering if I got a new Radio if I need a new receiver to go with it or if it can bind with the existing one on this truck. The ESC and Reciever are in the same unit on this truck.

Thanks again!

Welcome to RCU and the RC world! Yes, you can bind another stock radio of identical model with the receiver/ESC combo. This video should go over how to do so.

Just make sue the new radio will bind with the old receiver. The best thing is if the two transmitters are the exact same model.

I think if you went to Spektrum's www site you will find a receiver that will work for your transmitter. There are also DSM2 compatible receivers out there also. What transmitter do you have?
