Futaba 3PL - no steering
I just bought a used Futaba 3PL that came with two R2004GF receivers. I plugged everything in and I was able to bind the receiver to the transmitter no problem and the throttle controls the ESC perfectly. The problem comes in when I plug the servo into CH2. The servo runs all the way to one end and sits there and buzzes.
I tried pulling down the end points on the transmitter, turning the wheel fully, etc etc. It even does it with the transmitter off.
Servo is a Trackstar TS-P12S. It is just a small digital servo which worked perfectly with the Spektrum radio that was stock.
Any ideas?

So I checked the position I plugged it into and it was channel 1. When I turn the wheel full left I can get the servo to center and stop buzzing. Anything off of full left drives the servo to the end.

+1 ^^^ on checking other receiver.
Since channel two (throttle) works fine, I would also swap channel inputs on the receiver to use the transmitter's trigger to send signals to the servo.

It's quite normal for digital servos to "buzz" , or make noise even when steering is in neutral position.

Another thing to check is the wiring orientation in the plug. They're pretty standardized now days but it could be different. I've had that problem with KO Propo servos in the past. I'm not up on all the digital stuff but it's something else to check.

Futaba 7PX for Sale
Hello All,
I have a Futaba 7PX that I can't use with my Traxxas XMAX, long story short, it'll take away some of the control options that are on the original controller. It's brand new, I only opened it to check the contents. Will to let it go for $500. Please contact Chan @ 310-703-6706 or [email protected] for more details.
Happy RCing!
