Is the XS3 a JR radio? (like the XR3?) I don't know much about the XS3, but the DX3 is based on the JR XR3 (I think).

yes the xs3 is from jr.

Cool. Then between the 2 radios, my vote goes to DX3. 2.4Ghz in a JR radio is the way to go.

hmmm, i was thinkin of gettin one of those two, my uncle as the dx3 and he seems fairly pleased, but i cant afford a dx3 so i was thinking of the xs3 (£90 off ebay) but im still not quite sure. looks like you guys prefer the xs3pro, whats the difference between the xs3 and the xs3pro? other than colour...

Hitec SRX or CRX. You can run the Spektrum system with these radios shall you choose to.

For the better grade radios, I personally use Futaba 3PK (I have 2 of them). These too can be upgraded with DSM 2.4ghz with the Spectrum TX module. The drawback: it will cost $500+ to do this (~$350 for the 3PK and ~$150 for the Spktrum TX module and RX).

For this price, I would highly recommend you get the Nomandio.
