3Pks w/Spektrum Pro question?
Hey guys, I just got these two in today. When I put the spektrum pak in the controller I can not put the cover all the way on. Is this normal? it does not look like it is larger than the synthesized futaba pack. Any ideas? Also with out actually controlling a receiver is there a way to tell the spektrum pack is in the remote?

The ultra short antenna is usually a dead giveaway, that you are using a 2.4ghz system...
Else checking the module will also tell that you are running a Spektrum.

did you even read my question or did you just want to try to make me look like a fool? i asked if when the spektrum module is in the radio, does the cover snap down over it like the stock one does? the second question was if there is something that would say spektrum or tell you the pack is in the remote. but after playing with it, i found out that no it does not do that.

Dont sweat it. Most 3PK owners with the specktrum module simply do not even put that cover back on. I personally took a dremel tool and rounded out a corner to accept the 2.4Ghz antenna. I then put the the cover back on. It is a tighter fit, but with this simple mod, it will go back on.
Also, the binding button will be covered up half way by the lid. The lid should not depress the binding button (at least it did not on mine). If it does, again, dremel a semi-circle cut on the lid at that location to expose the binding button fully.
Hope this helps.
