Need help!! Building a fleet of 1/32 rc cars

Hello.. I have played with rc cars most of my life. Never attempted anything like this though. I plan on building a scale race track in my basement with about 60 feet of track surface for say 15 cars to race at the same time. Cars will be completely scratch built. Kind of a hybrid slot car if you will. Instead of a guide like a slot car they will have a magnet. The track will have steel wires embedded into the track for the car to follow instead of a slot.

I believe I will be needing micro 2.4ghz equipment to do this as the size is of most importance. That being said, I am hopping someone can help me with my little project. So I would like to know who makes the smallest receivers and esc. An all in one would be nice too. Along with size of the gear PRICE is also an issue. Plan on having over 100 said cars as the years pass.

Thanks for your time......

Joel

hi joel . take a look at FLYDREAM 2.4g radio . www.bidproduct.com . i have used this gear in aircraft and cars for many years with no problems . the 4ch RX weighs 2g ! . they also have all in one (rx/esc) units for indoor planes which may suit your project . bidproduct (no association) have slow but cheap shipping . on their micro rc page u will find motors - servos - batteries etc as well .
