First brushless vehicle (buggy), 101 mph run!
So this is my Ofna LX2E bought the 80% roller and added electronics to it.
I've never owned a brushless vehicle, nitro guy at heart but boy are they fun and it's nice to just get up and go after charging a battery.
here is the vid of it going 101mph after some work
best I've done so far has been 103mph with it.

lol thanks! going for 110 soon!
here she is fully dressed, the new wing works like a dream I hardly have to steer it.

Yea they take the load well, I had some smaller ones (2250/65c) but they wouldn't pull the car under load, I was trying to try lightweight stuff but ah well.
Hard to beat these batteries for the price. the car is 9lbs and 4 oz.

It's in the title, CC 1515 2200kv motor on 6s, EZrun 150a ESC with a 28t pinion and 40t spur on GRP belted tires.

Why not put some slightly larger diameter street tires on it? That'd easily help.... acceleration would be a little slower, but top end would definitely improve.

I have no gearing limitations right now so I can make up for the tire diameter in gearing, no real need for a bigger tire.
The tires I'm using are in my opinion the best for top speed runs, they have crazy grip, last long and they don't balloon.
I've blown up the xo-1 slick which is 109mm (very sad since they are made for a 100mph car), but these GRP's are serving me well!!

Nice jobs there man! Are you still 28/40 gearing or did you make some adjustents? My best so far is 110 MPH with my GTP2e with 34/36 gears but I think I would get more speed out of a 30/36 ratio. I still need to find the sweet spot. I have started a 100+ MPH speed run thread in the Electric onroad forum. Would love to get some participation over there. Seems to be more people doing up these speed run cars now more than ever!

RE: First brushless vehicle (buggy), 101 mph run!
Thanks man, I will check out the thread.
I'm at 30/38 right now, Not sure if I can get much more out of it, I hear the car losing power on top end.
I might even lose some MPH going deeper with the gearing the way the car sounds up top.
I accomplished my goal of 110 and some change though, so I am happy, the buggy is going back to bashing mode (60 mph).
