Speed test Kyosho Optima 4WD Vintage Series brushless
The Kyosho Optima had always been one of my favorite car during my childhood years. Back then, I could not afford one and would always hangout at the local hobby shop hoping to get a chance to see a customer bring one in for a show.
The re-release of this Optima was a chance to own one. Kyosho did a great job of hardening the drivetrain in to accommodate for today's brushless motors but I chose to stay safe with a 2s conventional 35c discharge rating to not push my luck in breaking a gear or belt. So far so good.
The handing and drivability of this car is amazing because the suspension geometry was from a design over 25 years ago. The top speed is nothing to write home about.
