RE: New Slap Ma Fro! Bashing Video --> 11
Thanks guys!
We've got one Triple-XNT and it's currently got an O.S. .15CV-R. We haven't decided if we'll be racing with that this summer or not.
One of our RC10GTs has an O.S. .15CV-R and the other has a .12CV-R. I'm thinking about converting one of them to a big-block, however.

We were all a bit disappointed with the Genesis breaking that easily. Of course, it did hit the jump bad and land not so smoothly, so we'll fix it and try it again. The LST didn't do much better, though it did fly quite a bit further. We're expecting better from both those trucks next time out.

Awesome vid, i rekon that most plastics are a lot more fragile in the colder months.
Heres a pic from a couple of weeks ago. no where near as high as yours but anyway.

Thanks! It was just above 50 degrees, so it wasn't really that cold. The ground was still pretty hard though. Love the picture!

rc freak: That yellow-bottomed truck is an HPI NMT with an O.S. .21RG engine.
DarkSavageX: We're pretty much nothing-but-nitro guys, so it's very unlikely we'll get any electrics other than 1:18-scale stuff.

Hey there SMF,, your videos are the good stuff BAR NONE!!! I love to see the trucks fly and the parts fly also . I really liked the plane you introduced in one of your vids,, kinda neat to see a switch-A-roo of rc environments. I too would like to see the Genesis tuned out to perfection and what it can do with the power it has available. The only thing you may need to try and do is make the genesis land on all four wheels after a large jump or it may break. 17+ pounds of truck on a bad landing may be a invitation for disaster,,,Have ya ever seen the "dukes of hazzard?" (Old TV Show) the General Lee never landed on the right front quarter panel and drove away,,, in fact it would not drive away even after it landed on all four wheels after a big jump most of the time,,,,but you never saw that in the tv show,,,... I love your videos and please keep letting us see what you do to keep a smile on our faces,,,,P.S. Get that Genesis broken in and then jump and land that sucka on four wheels because I want to see what a heavy 17lbs of truck will do. Keep It Real,, Peace "O"

We'll do our best, Orlando! We just need some decent, consistent temperatures and some time and we'll get the Genesis and LST all tuned up properly and see what they're capable of. I was very disappointed I screwed up that jump with the Genesis, we'll do better next time, I promise!

Thanks for the compliments!
The RC18t has a Mamba Competition X motor and controller. I'd be using Lithium batteries, but the charger I got didn't work, so I'm stuck using the stock batteries for now. I can't wait to see what it will do with the better batteries!

It came from a jive-to-English translator we found years ago, long before we registered the domain name. Basically whenever we'd type a sentence into the translater with an exclamation point, it'd come back converted to jive and at the end of the sentence "Slap ma fro!" was added. We thought it was funny so when we needed a domain name for personal use we registered it. Then we started with R/C and making videos and posted them on that domain's host. We had no idea they'd get so popular! If we did we probably would have come up with a more R/C-related name, but by then it was too late, and the name stuck.
