Default Intermittent signal loss & cut out

Guys, this is doing my head in...

As soon as I power up my Monster Beetle, the lights on my esc flicker extremely quickly as if the signal is dropping, not long enough to stop any control of the car, but dropping none the less. Funnily, this seems to improve much if I touch the antenna on the Tx with my hand or touch the antenna to the car antenna....

Secondly, when I push on the throttle the car cuts out. I'm not sure if it's the motor thats stopping or more likely the esc cutting out.

I have a Tamiya Super Stock BZ motor. A Viper R11 esc. Acoms Rx and using 3000 &3600mAh Enrich Power batteries. I never had this problem before upgrading my motor and esc, but in upgrading both at the same time I can't tell if it's one or the other at fault. And I don't have the old ones to test them.

My gut instinct tells me its the esc... but any help or advice would be appreciated.

Default RE: Intermittent signal loss & cut out

Upon investigation it seems linked to my batteries. The three batteries I tried drained exceptionally quickly, which I thought was strange. But when freshly put in the intermittent signal loss was corrected and not present.

Is the Mtroniks Viper RV11 leaving enough capacity for the BZ motor?

Hey there! Are you using those white Tamiya connectors ? I've had nothing but grief with them ! I've heard them refered to as " an in-line fuse " !
