what classic car should they bring back?

They shouldn't bring any rc car back. Tamiya is already ruining their collector market by releasing these repros... last thing I need is some of my boxed vintage cars to drop in value.

It's a hobby. Get over it. It's not like you have a Ferrari. I'm all for re-releases so I can get what I want at a decent price without having to be gouged by a person with OCD that bought 3 of every car so they could have a runner, a shelf queen, and a NIB. Don't ever forget that we are grown men playing with toys.

True as blue!
Here's some other ones that need a re-release.
Vanquish, Dyna Storm, Astute, Egress
Not mine just pics I dug up.

Blazing Blazer
Hi Lux
Mountaineer
(in short the whole metal series)
+1 on not caring about someone's collection value, sorry I want to build and run these great classics. I have collections as well, my house is full of vintage pinball and video games. If Namco re-releases PacMan (and they did) I don't really care. Mine has all the stampings, labels and serial numbers identifying it as original. The value may go up or down compared to what I paid for it at the moment in time when I bought it but I would not begrudge someone wanting to own a Mrs PacMan and enjoy the experience of unboxing and owning one new. I own two of the rarest arcade video games, literally the first and second ones ever made and if someone started building repros it wouldn't change the history of mine which to me is the value. And I would love for others to share in the experience. In R/C terms, I have some original Tamiyas and having new parts as well as new cars I can run without risking rare hardware is worth more than the arbitrary value of one sitting in the closet.

Tamiya Porsche 959. I had one, loved it and traded it years ago. My biggest RC mistake.

Assocaited re-releasing the Goldpan RC10 would be great as well, but I just dont see that happening,
they are always wanting the newest and the greatest.

I'd love to see the Kyosho Optima as well as Optima Mid series re-released (though I'm not gonna hold my breath!) :-)
Also loving the Vanquish above!!! I'm really excited that Tamiya is re-releasing the Avante as well!!!

I wish they would bring back the Kyosho Burns! That car was so popular. There are many cars similar to the Burns but not quite the same. I miss that car.
I have one that is a shelf queen. I really miss that car.

Yep... you should have it because you want it. Perfect logic there.

I would like them to re-release the Blazing Blazer, even if it is just the shell, and re-released it on the current Hi-Lift chassis..
That's a great looking old school shell there.. !!
Of course, a lot of the stuff that have already mentioned above..
I did a completely tear down of Wild One and re-build.. so I have already satisfied my need for that one.. ha!! If you guys want to see the inner working of the Wild One, here's the thread:

I doubt that will get much attention, as the Advant has much more historical significance..
Just a guess, though.. I'm all for more re-re.. !!

RE: what classic car should they bring back?
I would like to see the return of the Tamiya Monster Beetle. I have no problem with the repros but I like the idea of kits instead of rtr. It is easier to fix it when you break it if you built it...
If you don't break it you're not driving it. And if you're not driving it you're just looking at it. Find a different hobby.
