1956 Radicon New Sedan
I would like more information on this Radicon New Sedan if anyone has info on it.
I do know that it was the first RC car made. I do know it works on the Marconi "Spark-gap" transmitter technology.
The one I have is in perfect shape and even has a tail light blinker feature when turned left or right.
Simple single push button control to go forward, <push> turn left <push> go forward <push> turn left etc..
It takes a total of 6 D-cell batteries to operate.
Any one on the boards that is familiar with this car to reply would be most appreciated.
Need answers like place to repair if needed, other owners, value of the car etc.
Thanks

I have never seen anything like that. Odds are there are very few of them around. Getting parts will be almost impossible unless you manage to find another one on Ebay. If you are into RC's I'd put that one on a shelf as a collectors item. If not then find someone who can appreciate it for what it is and sell it to a collector. I'd hate to see that car end up in the hands of a child or someone who wouldn't care for it properly.
As far as value. It's anyone guess. That is a great piece but you need to find the right person willing to buy.

John01374.
Oh, not to worry about this being a kids toy. Way too valuable for that.
I have only seen these things at auction houses and one guy is currently selling one on eBay for $4500.00.
I initally got this for my adult son, but he showed no interest in it, so I currently have it on eBay for $450.00
