vintage tamiya frog problems
I am new to the car world so I am sorry if my questions seems newb like. Heres the issue. I bought a vintage tamiya frog( couldn't afford one when I was a kid). It came with servos , mechanical speed control, servos etc. The receiver and transmiiter weren't working so I decided to replace them. I placed the servo connectors as they were in relation to the previous receiver. plugged the battery in and nothing. I started checking voltages and following the current train. 7.4 going in ,followes to the bec, coming out at like 2.5 or thereabouts. what should that voltage be at? What is the purpose of the bec? Is this enough voltage to power up the receiver? Thanks

A modern ESC that would handle anything that gearbox is strong enough for is 20 bucks. I say just grab that and ditch the BEC and MSC entirely.
