I have an old JRx2, i have had it for around 20+/- years and i recently dragged it out to work on it so i can run it around.every electronic is new in the car besides the motor and battery. My issue is it goes forward, reverse and at a stand still will turn with no issue, once the car is going forward it will not turn, Any ideas? The battery is old so could that have something to do with it? i figured that the motor may be using all the power out of the battery and not enough left to turn at the same time.

I think that you have answered your own question.

Batteries degrade over time and you could have it charging all-night and it still might only hold a couple of amps at the end of it.

I think it's time for a new battery, or borrow one first from a mate.
