Default Kyosho Quad Rider

Hey guys, I've been wanting one of these forever and finally scored one off eBay.

Here is what it's supposed to look like

Here is mine in its current condition

It needs a lot of work and I need to locate a body, rider, and decals. If any of you know where I can locate some parts to help with this restoration, just let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Does anybody else out there have one of these?

I've always wanted one since I have the 1:1 version lol

I disassembled and dyed the ball diff, spur gear, front shocks, knuckles, C hubs, and fuel tank cap black over the weekend.

Also got a factory Kyosho engine mount coming for this quad off eBay since it was missing. I'm slowly piecing it together.

I wonder if the rider from the Savage ATV body kit would be the right scale? Probably not, may be worth a look though.

Yea, I've been wondering the same thing. Or maybe the Proline rider that goes along with the Proline Razorback body. They are discontinued too so seems like my only option right now is the HPI rider and maybe body too

I got the OS .12cv installed using a Kyosho Kart motor mount. The OS cooling head was a bit tall for this chassis so I had to notch the head to fit.

I had to buy a donor RC on eBay mainly for the body and handlebars, but at least I got spare parts now

That's one that I missed out on. Looks like a great ride to mess around with. What year was that released?

The riding gear is looking pretty sweet! I'd go for the vintage gear logos from the early 80s.

Great job! Great colors that pop out. Two thumbs up.
Ever gonna run it? If so, get some footage of that ATV dude, and put it on YouTube.
Thanks for sharing.
