RC10 Gold pan Redeux
I recently got my childhood RC10 in running shape again. It's a run of the mill used up Cadillac 6gear. I swapped out the old MSC for a Tekin Rebel ESC and made sure everything else was in working order. While it isn't really nice, I still feel guilty about running it and putting any more wear on it.

That is where this early 90's RC10 Stealth Championship Edition comes in. It is well worn, has a much better transmission, better suspension and no sentimental value.
Plans include any necessary repairs, a transmission rebuild with a B4 slipper and a sensored brushless setup.

I love seeing the old stuff. Thanks for posting the pictures up. I miss my black pan Stealth RC10. Somebody said there was a $150 deal on the World's Car Kit on Monday. I don't know if I would have got one or not, either way I missed out .

I'm a fan of the old gold pans myself. I do the same thing you do.lol. I have my old "A stamp 6 gear" that I wont drive anymore for fear of another scratch on the chassis, then I have my modified championship edition that I have the fun with.

How to Use an Airless Paint Sprayer
Airless will tend to be a bit coarser than an air spray will giving a bit less fine of a finish. Biggest factor will be proper preparation and proper use of equipment whether airless or an air

Residual water in the hose after flushing the unit out is pretty normal with airless if your going to leave in storage a while make sure to use something like pump armour which is an oil to protect the pump from further corrosion. A lot of good training out there to on youtube ect for how to use an airless.

If your only doing a job or two I would rent a contractor grade or if you can find one at decent price second hand for a titan impact or graco that would be ideal . Make sure you know how

It’s funny you mention the changes in the car from the first runs to the Champion’s Edition. I recently rebuilt my Edinger with the 6-gear transmission and while scrounging for parts online I came across a CE for next to nothing, cost wise. Instead of using the parts I restored the CE. I originally installed another 6-gear but acquired a Stealth transmission and will install that this weekend. The Edinger is running Brushed / NiMh and the CE is sporting a Brushless / 2s LiPo. Major speed improvement and you’re correct. With no sentimental value to the CE, I feel fine about the faster mods. Now if I can keep it from blowing over at speed lol.
