The Dirt Paws were awesome for traction, but were no good for my lawn. The Vise Crawlers are perfect and the white wheels look better. Still playing with ESC settings, but my suspension is dialed.

I am getting back into this hobby after being out of it since the early 90's. I joined the forums to ask some questions about an old car I am thinking of rebuilding. I saw your post and Ihad to take a look, the Lunchbox was my first rc car that was bought in a hobby store. I had a blast with it, thanks for bringing back the memories!

It is definitely time to get another one, at this point I'm torn between buying a new one or restoring an old one I have. Istarted a new post on that subject.

The good thing is that the re-released are basically identical to the old ones, so you can easy get parts support..

Good luck!

I don't use oil in my fifth shock at all, the purpose of that shock is as more of a brace anyway and it does the job for me.

I've been running a 2600KV motor in mine for a while and it's a lot of fun but complete overkill, since installing the motor I have snapped all 4 body posts (replaced with metal ones) and completely smashed the front/side windows. My LB is looking worse for wear but I wouldn't change a thing, nothing like dragging off a Brushless Thunder Tiger XXT (in a straight line with a rolling start .

Which wheels/tyres did you order? I was having a lot of trouble finding some which would fit that were not the stock ones but then I figured the stock ones are pretty good and are showing no signs of wear despite the abuse I put them through but it's always good to have a spare set.

Are the rears are compatible with the LB rear hub or do you just remove the hub and use straight pins?

Looking forward to seeing a picture of this beast.

I suppose you could take off the stock hub adapter and fit hex adapters on there, that would solve the problem and allow you to run pretty much any wheel you wanted. I haven't tried this but it should work.

so modification is required for the fron sc10 wheels. i will have to drill out the bearing race to 11mm, and im not sure yet, but i may have to use some spacers to keep te wheel from moving side to side on the steering block.
