RE: Wild Willy 2 w/ pics
LOL! Now I have a little one (which is stuck in the PO's building, poor thing) and a big one. It's kind of sad, I have had the big one for 3 years unbuilt, and the little one will be done first! I want to save the one in the box, though, keep it vintage!
I will buy one (oops, I mean ANOTHER one) sometime in a couple months, but right now I'm focused on hopping up stuff.
Wait, theres that Lunchbox I know is sitting in a box, at a certain person's apartment....
Don't stress me!

It is no vintage as it is still "in print" currently, if you will.. so here's what you do.. you build the one in the box now, and order a new one in 2 months, put that one away..
It will be no less (nor no more) valuable then the one you have for 3 yrs...
I got a lot more stuff sitting quietly in my apartment.......

What I meant was.....um, what did I mean? I guess I can't list it as never opened, but maybe somebody stupic enough will believe that the one I have now is worth more than one I buy now!
I have an idea...trade my Knight hauler w/o servos, kinda messed up tranny, and no rear wheels or body for that LB, LB! Maybe not, but I could, if it didn't cost me so much...

RE: Wild Willy 2 w/ pics
Thanks for your advice. I'm using a Mac! I tried running Firefox and it worked straight away....
Anyway let me tell you about my Willy. I'm living out in Japan not that far away from Shizuoka, home of Tamiya.
This is the first RC model I have ever owned or built. Last summer I was in an electric store looking at all the cool toys you can buy over here. I noticed they had BB firing tanks. I had to have one!!! Shortly after a stumbled on the tank forum in another part of this site.
After seeing all the builds different guys had done I decided to buy a RC Tamiya Sherman... I was now bitten by the bug!!!
Whilst reading the tank forum I came across a link to a Tamiya page that shows you how to paint Willy. So naturally I thought why not build one of those too!!!
Just before Christmas I was in a huge model store buying some paint for the tank when I noticed how cheap all the stuff was. I got Wild Willy 2 for 8,000 Yen and the Lunch-box for 6,000 Yen. I'm sending the Lunch-box back home to my brother....
I then found the page about how to widen the suspension arms and thought it looked cool so I ordered the parts plus sealed bearings, motor cooler and oil filled shocks. I built it up and sprayed it over Christmas and just ran the chassis without the top. I've spent hours racing it around and with the wide arms its very stable but wheelies really well. I've painted it up just the same as the tank will be, even the driver is the same.
I actually spent so much time doing it that I now can't bring myself to wreck the body outside.......... The store has a huge selection of spare clear bodies to choose from so I think I will find something that fits and use that outside instead.
I'm sooo pleased with it especially as its my first build and its really good fun to drive. I've now got my eye on the Ford Pick-up for when I finish the tank!!!!

LOL, you need to fix up that semi.. don't neglect your RCs... (joke)
Anyway, just build that WW-2 already!! Like I said, unless it is the Metallic Edition, it might be worth something.. if it is just the current production WW-2, you should just build it up, and buy another one and stash away...
Oh, right, and buy that LB from me!!

Nice, Steve!
When you get a clear lexan shell for the WW-2, remember to post a pic for us!! I know some people put the Mini shell on the WW-2...
I just run mine.. it has a rollcage.. it protects the majority of the shell pretty well!!
They are meant to be used!! Ha!!

Okay, I'll send it to a place I know who cromes model stuff! Then I'll find some genuine Tamiya staples for the bag, and a box!
"COUGH"....yea, look who's talking mister I broke a bunch on gearsdrivegearuniversalsdiff on a TXT! The semi is the only one that doesn't run because of neglect! TXT doesn't count, I just took it's ESC that wasn't meant for it anyway. I think I take good care of my stuff....except for all the abuse and each R/C I have had except the tanks has had the jump off 5 foot sheer cliff test, so...

Yeah, I know its ment to be used but I just can't bring myself to scratch it all up
As soon as I find a shell I will post it but this time I won't spend so long painting it

RE: Wild Willy 2 w/ pics
Hehe...Shhhh! Uh Huh, I Doubt it. More like next month+2weeks. I am getting my tranny replaced in my dirtbike, so I have no money. And the tractor isn't starting up easily, only if I put the 2nd drive stick in just the right position, so that has to be brought in soon also...
Besides, I don't even have enough time work on anything but the yard. My 2 weeks of no work but had to work are over.[:@]

As Yoda would have said, "Do or not do, there's no try".. WW-2 is a rather easy kit.. I am sure you can build it up in a night.. hee hee..
Okay, I will stop bugging ya... ha!
By the middle of February, I should have like 4-5 kits stashed away for the rest of the year to build.. at least, that's the plan!! ha!

Thanks []TEX[],
I can see you put a lot of work into it. It looks really good. I will give it a try[:@]. But when I roll and wreck it I will know where to come and complain
