Since the pinion / spur can not be changed (only the stock combination) so the only way to change gearing is through the tire.. if I want to put some brushless on it, that's the wrong way to go!! Oh well.. maybe put a cooling fan on the motor and hope that it won't get too hot!

Or just stick with stock brushed motor... !!

Now this is a nice picture.. flash right on time to capture the Willy in the air.. Except.. argh.. the Willy is heading into a bad landing.. (yes, it hasn't hit the ground yet.. it is in the air... the moment right before it hits.. :P)

Willy was tough.. never skipped a beat after many crashes..... (trying to take the darn pictures.. :P)

Oh, the other "side effect" of the new aluminum suspension arm is that it actually jack up the rear ride height slightly.. so I actually move the front body post clip position by 1 position so the front body is not as low.. this side effect makes the Willy wheelie longer now (due to the increase wheelie angle!) so now it rides the wheelie longer than before..

But probably does not handle as well (even so slightly) due to the higher center of gravity..

Not like Willy was meant to handle anyway! So it is fine by me!

Took out the Willy's servo saver (not bad, actually) and replace it w/ a Kimbrough unit for metal gear servo.. wonder if it is a good idea.. ha ha.. hopefully the Futaba S3305 is strong enough to take the abuse.. (it is a metal gear servo after all, should be okay!)

Just want to take out all the play within the system.. I think it is time to make custom length aluminum steering links... (wish I have a lathe!)

Lunchboxer, you and I have a lot of the same tastes in Tamiya Cars. I bought my WW2 and it sat in the box for about a year. then I bought a used one which my neighbor begged me to sell to him. After I put a radio in his, I realized just how much fun they were. so I built mine up. I kept the new body to do something special with and bought a couple of used ones to run with.

Here is my WW2 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_m...id=23598&id=34

I also have a couple of the WW1's

Here is my prized willy with a fantastically painted driver http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_m...cid=7022&id=34

Here is my Runner http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_m...id=22298&id=34

Yeah, similar taste, except you got more skills on the paint job / detailing!

I also had a WW1, but that was lost when I moved to US.. (like I said before, I just recently got back into RC after a 17-18 yrs of being away from it) So I knew I had to get a WW2 when I got back into R/C...

Nice Wild Wendy there! Is it $$$? Since it is custom made, I would guess it is... I guess I am more into spending money on the mechanical parts, so I probably won't put a Wendy in my jeep then.. (but it certainly looks cool!)

Consider the amount of $$$ you spend on your R/C, I'd recommend a set of those Tamiya super low friction shocks (that's the official name..!) for Willy.. they are really well made...

Let's see what else you got!! You have a really great Tamiya collection!

Random useless hop-up of the day... But I figured I shouldn't neglect Willy... so here we go.. aluminum C-hub.. to match the rest of the suspension pieces in blue...
