6V does the trick without breaking any precious parts .
ps. have not started with lipo yet but a 2S might fit in the battery tray

Yeah I was sure someone would jump in at last minute and out bid me. Sealed box and all. I also picked up a 1/16 Pershing locally for an incredible price, built with radio, charger, box, batteries...everything for $400! Was a shelf queen/adult owned. The girl is not aware that Willy is coming to live with us though, HA!

To complete your military setup, you should get the new Fast Attach Vehicle as well.. that's coming out in a couple of months.. !!

Both Willy 2 got some new dentals 20T.
Also my TA01/02 hummer and f150, cc01 and scx10 now got steel inplants instead of aluminium.
(the one in front right was in a willy)

I am working on getting parts together for my WW2 build. I have not decided as to what colour I am going to paint it. I could go box art style olive drab, totally acceptable. I thought about painting it this colour:
TS-20 Metallic Green
Maybe over a silver base coat. My 1:1 Willys is similar, maybe a little darker. I might go this route to try and have a mini model of my CJ. I would like to get another body kit to paint up in original colour. Hopefully Willy shows up today. I have my bearings,ESC,RX, & Sport tuned motor on their way. I should be able to slide him in the garage before the girl notices, HA!

Yes hide your Willy in the garage, before you know you have to buy another one.
I had to, now my girl has her own Willy

New arrival
rear in the middle.
The previous owner started the build but I think the car run perhaps once.
Had a 21T pinion and the motor didn't turn, the rotor was stuck because the screw to fix the motor to the chassis made contact.
But at least it got ballbearings.
Well it is all fixed including some screws that were missing and he runs just fine now (with a 20T pinion)

I only run the WW lwb on special occasions with a 6V batterypack, the gearbox is still smooth and very silent, just big fun to ride and watch.
The Willy 2 is for bashing on the bmx track or for the beach.
Irish pub is on the right behind the bicycle shop, very convinient.
