RE: Tamiya Wild Willy 2 Resource Thread!

So you want a Wild Willy that doesn't wheelie?

I am sure you can fabricate something to do so since the gearbox assembly is attached to the frame with a few screws only.. or make a new frame.. but if you want an easy way, there's probably not an easy way...

put some lead in the front wheels like we do with crawlers or try to move the battery more to the front.

RE: Tamiya Wild Willy 2 Resource Thread!

It has been a while since I posted some updates for my WW 4x4 project, that is because I hvent worked on it for over a year I think.. motivation was a bit down so to speak...

but now I finaly found some inspiration to get things going again.
i think this is probably how it was last time I posted about it :

Since then I shortened a driveshaft, finished a batteryplate and servomount. Changed the mounting points for the dampers and finished the steering rack.
Now it is comming to finishing up with adding some details like a front bumper:

    That started out as :

and this is me milling a piece of the wheeliebar....

I have very few experience with free software.. google sketchup or blender are both free, but I ditched blender after 5 minutes because I did not like the interface, but that is ofcourse personal and could work for you...

If you are interrested, I have set-up a shapeways shop where it is possible to order my models..

Looks like they could,ve made it to fit better on the lunchbox . . . and the Montero Wheelie to fit the WR-02.

I think that body is too short for Lunchbox chassis.. it is meant for WR-02.. and it is also too close to the LB shell, maybe...

But yeah, if the Montero can fit the WR-02 chassis, that would be cool too.. !

    yeah, available mid february
will have to think of something else for xmass and b'day.

    maybe another WW2

    oh out of stock

a sandrover body then, with a WW2 driver that would be cool.

(hope GF still reads this threat )
