I hear ya. They will definitely need a good cleaning. I will probably do a complete tear down and rebuild of both, just so I can be sure everything is in good working order.

From TamiyaUSA website:

"Aluminum heat sink helps keep the motor cool and is also an eye-catching chassis highlight."

Interesting!!

The rerelease is cool and all but it stinks the value of the originals is so low now, and being young I have no sentimental value with it[]

LB,

I don't think I can wait for the release - I guess I will just build the one I still have in the box - OR - better yet, when I do get it I can do a side by side build up to show the differences -

Now that would be cool.

What'd you think?

Build it up.. and compare it to the new one when it comes out..

I don't believe in keeping kits in the box and never use it..

Sure, you might be able to sell it in the future at a higher price.. (a few hundred dollars? $1,000?) But come on, if your retirement plan is based on collecting RCs, you have a bigger problem coming..

So build it, have fun with it, the way the RCs are meant to be!

Hey guys, let's all chill, eh?! I am sure in this case TEX wasn't looking at your thread and then post here.. TEX got an e-mail from me about it being available at Tower.. (I scan Tower "upcoming section", like you, I am sure) Since I don't have a thread, I just e-mail the link to TEX, and he probably posted here without knowing that you posted at your thread.. I also posted the upcoming TA-05IFS link and I posted that one at the Lounge 2..

I am sure it is all just a big misunderstanding.. I am sure TEX wasn't trying to run you out or anything like that.. I don't think he subscribed to your thread.. so he probably did not know that you posted it there already..

I did see you posted there.. so I know you posted before TEX.. that's definitely true..

But like I said, I am pretty sure he didn't purposely look at your thread and then re-post here..

But yeah, having 2 threads.. ha.. you guys can sort it out.. I don't know.. but play nice.. we are all just here for fun..

I know this isn´t really constructive and I´m not a frequent poster here but still my two cents; it´s just common courtesy to try to make topics as easy to follow as possible. If you find out that you weren´t the first, you should correct your faux pas and either delete the entry OR edit the message to point out who was first and which thread should be the preferred one. In my opinion it doesn´t matter if it was unintentional, but you should try to make the effort to serve the community above all

LB,

I can't resist - I will build them next to eachother and see which one I like best - I am partial to the original so I can't help but be biased.

The reason I don't like to build them is in the day, Tamiya use to take the time to put all the cool parts in the seal wrap stuff on top. So when you opened the box all the cool things were in the own little bucket, now they just throw everything in a bag - F350 as an example - and you struggle to find the correct stuff.
