Don't think those rally blocks would last too long.. but silvercan / sport tune might be okay.. !!
Still, get some proper on-road tires, eh?! (some HPI X-Patten Belted, maybe?! hee hee..)

I've been thinking about getting the subaru some of you bought on Tamiya's site. I actually had one of these a few years ago but sold it in a moment of weakness.[:@] Is tamiya packaging these with an msc or esc? I think the one I had came with msc but at some point they seemed to phase those out...
One more for you guys. I live in Wisconsin and am thinking about doing some winter snow rallying![>:] I seem to remember the tb01 being pretty well sealed from the elements due to the plastic cover, but do you guys think I'd be able to keep my brushless setup dry enough so I wouldn't fry out anything while running in the snow? Has anybody had these in snow or wet conditions with luck?

MSC is supplied (check page 3) ive ran my Mamba Sidewinder in nasty conditions (and the car i run it in has no foam/dust cover) and its doing fine, you'll be safe running it in this chassis i would think.

The key is to keep water out of the ESC.. and I think the shield will do a good job with that...
I think you should get one!!

Yes, there is a local (well about 20 miles from me, but on the way home from work), that has a HUGE selection of Tamiya Paints, as well as all the other brands.
It's stunning really to stand there and think about all the color combos I could do on my cars..
Cheers,
Skottoman

waiting for my WRC's...thinking of getting a nice body set and a set of street wheels...getting a TL-01 kit with finished 2001 body (and full ball bearings)...or waiting for the TB-01 sister...the new WRC rally version of Subaru, DF-03RA ???
what would you do?

Any on-road tires will do.. shell -> up to you, depends on the look that you are going after.. since it is riding on a touring car platform, any touring car shell will work fine.. so sky is the limit!

The only problem I have with "some" (not all) finished shells is that they don't mask the windows.. so they are covered up by black stickers instead..
I prefer the clear window, and then I'd tint it using the smoke paint!

you are right...I think all of the finished bodyes are the same...totally painted on the inside...[]...I think I will gain some founds for the second TB-01...(just re-read that thread waiting for mine, and look like it's Tamiya kit masterpieces...)...and later, next year I will take the new edition...just for having both, and who knows...a finished shell someday...[:-]
