Hey Guys,

After many years of being out of the RC scene I got back into it by buying a DF03RA Kit. I got the subaru one. I think I maybe purchasing a TB01 kit. I know old kit, but you guys think its great, and so do I for rallying purposes and maybe try to even drift it. I have a couple questions.

1. Are all the hop-up parts big bucks?

2. I read that aluminum shaft, and gear reduce weight. Anything else I can do to reduce weight? Any free mods?

3. Is it true the Subaru 2001 kit is out of stock completely?

Once I get my TB01 I will post pics.

Thanks,

Murdock

I don't think you will be able to get one easily.. but I guess you can check eBay.. might cost you a bit, though.. !! Right, it is officially discontinued...

rcstation.com that where i bought my body from. actauly tamiya usa has the body with none prototype wing i belive its the good ol tl-01 body. as for drifting tb-01 is a PIG!!!! and slopy joints it will get sildeways but there wide slides. i dont know.. drifting is a hunt for tire and surface complalibilty if you want to lighten it up check out penguine rc the only big buck hop up are the universal joints. stay away from the CF drive shaft that stink stick is not work the effort. this come been there broke that [:@]. if you would like i can give you my mod list for my tb-01 drifter.

Today is a GREAT DAY! I got my TB-01!

I got the mitsubishi Evo 5 one!

I will build it tonight, and post some pics.

Anything I should watch out for while building? like... Don't tighten this too much... or this can be tricky... Any tips would be much appreciated.

Igot it off Ebay, but not NIB. It was New butmissing tires, silver can, ESC, dust shield, wing, and decals... Got some sourcing to do.

The pic I posted is what I got. If anyone is intrested PMme. Imaybe able to get them. TB01 kits with missing tires, silver can, ESC, dust shield, wing, and decals.

Anywhere I can get a dust cover, wing, and decals?

More pics to come. Im going to build a Drift version without Foam, and try to lighten it up. Also a RALLY version with foam, dustshield, and rally block tires. So 2 TB01s setup for different conditions!

Being that I have no motor or ESC. Any suggestions on brush or brushless? My budget is around $100 for both esc and motor.
