Stock gearing -> 16T pinion and 61T spur.. which is very undergeared for a silvercan.. so I am not sure why Tamiya chose this as the stock setup. (Consider this is the absolutely highest gearing ratio that can be achieved with this kit. It comes w/ 58T and 55T spurs as well, and those will require even bigger pinion for proper engagement.

Hmm... odd, isn't it?!

Doesn't matter for me, since I will be using the 5700kv motor, but just thinking that it is low for a stock silvercan...

Don't worry about the mesh -> when installed onto the chassis, the center driveshaft will be push toward the motor..

Pretty good sealing there! (The ESC on/off switch helped push the sponge against the motor!)

Note the included aluminum motor heatsink! Nice!

Anyway, this is it for tonight, and probably this weekend too..

All electronics have been tested and are working, so that's good..

I am jumping around the steps, as usual.. so the build might not seem too logical.. but that's how I do it.. ha!

Yeah, I haven't made a cent on these.. I seems to be more like, "ordering for others, and send them away with no profit"..

I am sure I lose money on packing material, tape, and driving to the postal office......

See what I do for the sports of RC?!?! hee hee...

These hardened outdrives are used by many of Tamiya's kits that use geared diff.. so it is a good idea to keep some of these in the parts bin anyway..
