I spent 200 on the kit. Looking for the Tamiya Hop Up parts slowly now. The weight of this thing is pretty high. Going to paint to box art and keep it all original Tamiya equipment.

Ah well, I don't suppose the warehouse has any of the lightweight gears laying around does it? And perhaps the driveshaft, that thing is heavy! Although I can't wait to get home and start building.

The driveshaft sure is heavy.. I remember when I built mine.. I was like, that has got to go! The aluminum one in comparison weights next to nothing!

No idea what I have at home really. They are all buried in the Warehouse..

I bet.
Going to scour ebay for hopups, if you happen to see anything of interest give me a shout. At the moment I am planning of sticking with Tamiya made parts. Except perhaps for a scratch built Night Racing lightpod haha.

Nice, shoot me a shipping price and paypal id and I will set that up here. Built the car yesterday, but will add the hopup options as the come up for sale. Need to find another so I have one to drive too lol.
Waiting on paint to arrive and then it will be finished, of course the driver is waiting on putty and sanding first, then paint. Like I said, this one is the shelf queen, so it gets extra treatment. Included a pic of the next shelf queen build I will do

This one will be a shelf queen, but I will get scouting for another to turn into a driver. Will get pics of this sitting on my real bugeye subie once it's all painted.

If you are interested in running them on pavement, get some of these for drift action..

Paint is on, stickers and driver / co-driver, Spoiler work to do. But that requires me to have a garage sale and empty the storage.... So not happening quite yet!

What I find surprising is that the box isn't a picture of the actual model. If anything it looks closer to either a show display piece from the real vehicle or the 1/24 model that Tamiya did of the car. Either way though Subaru's only come in one color. I almost went and bought actual Subaru Paint, but decided against it at the last minute.

Updates. Paint is on, the stickers are placed. Anyone else find parts of this body shell were paper thin? Anyway, quick look, wing and things are still in filler and paint prep but you can see the general shape pretty well.

Not sure, that's a big commitment to make. Maybe when I get a runner I will, don't want it to look like it was changed in any way lol. I have the light weight ring gear for it now though, slowly adding a stack of parts together for the queen
