I am dying to know how fast this thing goes and what motor is in it. Just have to buy a charger and i should be good! BTW, the tires that are on it(in the pic), would it kill them if i drove it on smooth asphalt? Or does it need to be carpet? Thanks guys[8D]

That is a Bolink, don't know what model, but it is from Bolink.
Tires should work on asphalt, but if they are old and dried out, might not stick too great. Also go easy on the battery the first few charges, it looks like an old 1700 sce and they are not verry durable.

Any other tips? Those mechanical speed controllers, are you supposed to put dielectric grease on the contacts? I can remember them being a nightmare back in the late 80's when i was into r/c's... Can't wait to get her home and wax her up! Basically just want a no frills charger, doesn't have to quick charge, just get the job done, as i won't be driving the thing the amount of times i did when i was 12... Thanks for any input![8D]
