|
Sorry, link got broken my last video, just re-posting in case anyone wants to see.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2eo1vip34I Desmo, looking forward to your video what oil shocks did you use? I would like to order a pair and l like that color. |
What is your setup, motor and gear ?
|
I am using one of the optional gears I honestly forget which one it has been awhile since I built up this model. The motor is a old 19T checkpoint money motor, but since it is slowing down a bit I will be putting a 13.5T brushless setup in it.
What oil dampers are you using on yours? I like those alot. |
Those are from ebay, just type wild willy and you will find them. I think somwhere in england, 4 pieces for 30 euro
|
Things sure are expensive in Europe.. 30 euros..
|
Don't think so this for 4 dempers, oh btw england is not europe, LoL
|
Since euro was used, I figured that it was Europe.. I guess I still associate England w/ GBP..
|
Wel here some pictures of my painting.

Just finished mine. About 30 years ago I had a Tamiya Super Champ an my one year younger brother had a Tamiya Wild Willy 1 (which he still has). Now I have 3 kids of my one and they started with RC cars (Traxxas ones):
http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/3xtraxxas.jpeg I came across two used Wild Willy 2's. One is in pretty bad shape, the other was in better shape. So fixed the first one up, going to start with the second one soon. First build has some nice things to it. Tamiya Sport Tuned engine, Carson LED-unit RACE, Wild Willy's head turns with steering, Street Jam grille and Street Jam old style bumper. But let the pictures speak for themselve. This is as I bought the two used Wild Willy 2's, the right one is now redone. The other one will be my next rebuild. http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy1.jpeg The first rebuild: http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy10.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy11.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy12.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy15.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy18.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy19.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy20.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy21.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy22.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy23.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy24.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy28.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy29.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy30.jpeg http://www.wolswijk.com/Tamiya/Wild_Willy31.jpeg |
Looks great! Make sure you post some detail on the turning head setup!!
|

Hi guys! Been a while . . . got Willy out during the holiday break and did some running around the driveway. Sad to say, I managed to do a few flips and got the front grill to fall off, and a few minor scratches on the body. Don't know if the rear stabilizer bar I installed was part of the problem. Maybe I'll take it off again and see how she goes. Still using the black motor.
Oh well, I guess I just have to take him apart again and do some maintenance and repaint.. OT . . . hey LB, need your help buddy . . . I have this vintage nitro RC kit I can't seem to identify . . . nor find anything about it in the web. Maybe you can take a look at it? :o |

hey guys i just got 2 pair of hpi warlock wheels and hpi yokohoma geolander tires:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1959420 they fit no problem on the back of the wr-02, but is there some way to install 12mm hex wheels on the front? |
Take a look at the Farm King's setup. You can probably use those parts to run hex wheels.
http://www.tamiyausa.com/images/prod...t_standard.jpg |
Thank you that was what I was looking for.
If anyone else wants to do this you can use the B9 part that is in the wr-02 box already. You just need 2 spare axels and 2 hex adapters like on the rear wheels. i will post some pictures tomorrow, only thing I still need is shorter tie rods for the steering. |
Glad that you found what you are looking for! Keep us posted!
