Just got mine done, what a rocket! A little heavy at 4lbs and 13 oz but the motor is heavy, I'm using JR537's and LOTS of bi-di tape on the wings as we seem to have lots of mid-airs at our combat events. We only have one class, anything up to 5lbs. and .46 motor. Anyhow, this thing rocks and I'm wondering if anyone else is using large engines on theirs.

I've been flying .40 size combat for a long time and I find the plain bearing engines are much better to use in that class. Less weight, not too fast and you can swing a 10" prop. Less money and less carnage.

Hell Yes! Now thats what I call a combat plane, not some little wussy open b!
Thats all we fly at our club Klass C, Spad SNS, .40 to .47, no tuned pipes or header mufflers, no weight limit. I have one plane that weighs 6.5lbs, it loves to fly through foam!
