Mig 7
Hello
I need your help.
I made a Mig7 on coroplast, which was a bit heavy I think.
Airplane more battery 700gr (25 ounce).
I do not want big races soI thought of putting an engine of
1100kv with a 9x4 propeller to gain a little strength.
However the result was not the best, early on I had a fall and although it has all been very fast ,I was feeling a lack of strength to pull the plane because it appeared that the plane could not gain support or go to the air under engine.
That felt lack of strength and speed.
This was my first construction give my doubts.
In your experience what would be a good option for this engine
device.
How many watts should the motor have to pull 25 ounces?
Thanks
Excuse my English

RE: Mig 7
That's a good question. Might be better answered in the electrics forum.
From our experience with the Mig 7, they tend to be snappy planes because of that tapered wing. You have to make sure you use micro servos to keep the weight down. With a .25FX we were weighing in at 3.5lbs or 1568g, so at 700g you are way ahead of the game. The wing loading will be considerably lighter.
