Default drag race a t-maxx

hey guys and gals i have a 2.5r t-maxx that I'm looking to drag race soon but i need to know what tire setup i should use 4 slicks, 2 slick tires in the front and 2 pro-line street tires in the back, all street tires, or 2 slicks in the back and 2 pro-line street tires in the front? what tire combo would give me the

A t-maxx isnt meant to be drag raced.

Slicks in the back, street tires in the front is what i would try first I think. Either that or all slicks[8D]

try the slicks with tire tack for dragging but i got the proline road rages on my street maxx and it does good but spins if a little dirt is on tires

Slicks in the rear and rages up front. your wheelie bar should be on the ground so it wont stand up.post a pic of your racer.

if your gonna drag race a tmaxx make it 2wd and use the roadrage tires in the back and maybe a set of 1/8 buggy roadrages tires in the front and to counter act wheelies use wheelie bar and lowest setting for shocks in the back ive seen it done and it seems to work pretty good that way

[img][/img]for all you "TRUCK FREAKS" here is the set up . Road rage tires will not get the traction if your set on kill . I started w/ an S-Maxx - 2 wheel drive . You must use monster truck tires to keep it real . Last year I ran the Traxxas response tires all the way around (very light ,and grab ) The back tires were blowing out . Now it's all redone , Worn 40 series bow ties on a new set of rims and foams , Response on the front . To keep the monster truck stance shoten the rear end .

I'm just gonna keep it 4WD but thinking of upgrading the engine any thoughts on that?

WELL YOU CAN HAVE YOUR  3.3 MODDED OR TRY ONE OF THE MID BLOCKS BUT ON MY TMAXX I WENT ALL OUT CONVERTED IT TO BIG BLOCK AND PUT A LRP 30 ON IT BUT ITS A TANK NOW I WILL POST SOME PICS

you need to change your servo arm, ie longer, to give a faster movment to the carb. also run a high idle

the wheels are imex mt foams 14 mm hex but thay are on the hard side
